Historical Monuments and Places of Interest
The Piles Tower was built in 1573 along the coast as a defence system from the Berber attacks and especially from the famous Red Beard the Pirate. It has an exterior diameter of 10m and its height is 13m.
As a curious fact, the Tower is slightly tilted West. After its building it was given a custody of 4 men of the Coast Guard Group, two watched out and made signals when they observed the presence of suspicious boats. At day light with smoke, at night with fire.

Another two men kept an eye on the beach. In 1986 the Tower was restored by the Culture Council of the Valencian Community and registered in the Historical Artistic Patrimony. Visiting timetable: Thursday from 16 to 18 h.
Saint Barbara Parochial Church: It was built in its origin over a mosque, in 1598 it was destroyed by an earthquake and restored afterwards (1732-1744) with the financing and the voluntary work of the inhabitants of the village. It has a traditional construction of five bases and a presbytery . The chapel of Saint Christ of Agony of classicist age. Its frescos tell the life of Saint Felipe Neri, patron of the village. Visiting days: Monday to Friday from 10 to 11h. .
